The Village of Dexter, Town of Brownville, and the northern portion of the Town of Hounsfield is achieved by extinguishing and investigating hostile fires, presenting life-safety education programs, rescuing persons in danger, controlling hazardous materials incidents, mitigating the effects of natural disasters. We strive for the highest level of professionalism and training to achieve our goals.

7/22/08 Dexter fields days are back.!!!!

7/17/08 Good News..Dexter's marching squad took 2nd in class A at the jefferson county fair.

6/25/08   Congratulations to Adam Reff, Chris Shear, Kyle Flath & Luke Peters for successfully completing the FF II Class.  And Mike Bennett for successfully completing ALS.There were a lot of man hours involved for these people to complete these courses. 5/26/08 We had 9 members marching in the memorial day parade starting in Brownville and them marching in Dexter. There are some pictures available on the pictures page.

5/14/08 Town of Watertown brought there ladder truck to Dexter for training, The 100ft ladder was setup downtown Dexter and also the Presbyterian church to allow the Dexter firefighters a chance to get a better understanding and operation of the apparatus with proper placement and setup incase of a fire emergency.

5/4/08 The bullhead feed was a success serving 650 lbs in about 2hrs thank you to all that helped and came to eat.

5/3/08 Bullhead feed for the pubic starts at 1130am at the Dexter fire hall. Get your place in line early for this great feast.

5/1/08 - The airbrake bullhead feed. New pictures are available, pictures link is on the top of the page.

4/27/08 - Fire fighter 2 class is now underway with 5 interior firefighters enrolled, this class runs until the end of June.
